Sale goodies (and some other nice stuff too)

I kinda sorta accidentally went on a mini sales shopping spree the other day after work. You see I'm trying to save money for Hen do weekends away, car stuff and to visit my boyfriend when he moves to Portugal in September, so I've not been spending that much lately, but I couldn't resist everything above! Okay so the Aztec bag from H&M wasn't from a sale or anything, but it's gorgeous and I used a voucher so only spent £2 on it!

So the point of this post is to say there are some really good deals on! In Boots, they're still doing 3 for 2 on certain products, and Bourjois Paris are giving away a free pair of sunglasses plus the cute case if you buy three items! But technically you're only paying for two! It's awesome, I love the glasses and the bag, and need some new blusher, wanted a smokey eyes kit in black (I've been using brown a lot lately) and the middle eyeshadow is sparkly and pretty and I can wear it in the day too.

Things that also weren't on sale, was a cheapy concealer from natural collection, it does it's job and two dual nail polish packs and the blue from H&M (I couldn't decide on the colours so got both, gold and pink with the glitters, and the blue was so pretty). I love H&M make up stuff, it's inexpensive, good value and has cute packaging, what more can a girl want?

I popped into Outfits too, and headed over to the Dorothy Perkins department where I bought the bow and the sandals. I'd wanted the bow for awhile, but omg the sandals! I got them for £5! And kinda want to go back and buy them in more colours, they are so comfy! I know I can't wear them till it's warm but I'm willing to wait! I also bought a 'He loves me/He loves me not' necklace, it's really sweet and reminds me of when you're younger and do that with flower petals, or use a pendant, did anyone else do that? Or just me and my friends? I love tacky jewellery and so I also got those rings! My ring collection is slowly building up, and most of it is made up of animals! I have a panda ring, rabbit ear ring, mouse ring, then I bought this set, with a rabbit, frog, horse and fox! Can't wait to try them out, they're all different sizes though and a bit small. But they fit better than the medium/large ones so I got them and can wear some on my pinky.

So yeah, I really love everything, but now I need to be more careful about my spending habits, and no more shopping spree's for awhile! But I think it's worth a look to go into Outfit because they have a great sale on. I didn't check the clothes 'cause I want to loose some weight and get fit first, but there were so many great deals going on with the accessories. I wanted to buy so much more, and the prices are crazy cheap. Most of the jewellery I liked was between £1-4 and it wasn't just the old ugly stuff that nobody buys! So go in but beware, you will spend loads of money!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, I'm working all weekend but work was dead tonight so somehow I'm hoping no one will want to watch anything over the weekend! And you can still enter my giveaway here. I forgot to add it's open internationally, so I'll edit that now too!

1st year Bloggiversary Giveaway!

UPDATE! THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!

Today is my blogs first birthday! Or my first bloggiversary if you will! Lisamello (the blog, not me) is now one years old, and it feels like I just started my blog the other day. I've only recently started getting into it, if you know what I mean, by trying to blog consistently, have features, customise the layout and branch out into reading more blogs and commenting more over the last few months. It's been fun and I'm still not where I want to be with the blog as it's a WIP, but I have a few ideas up in this head of mine for it which I want to do within the next year. I'm hoping I'll still have this blog  next year as I used to change blogs ALL the time and never really stuck them out. My longest blog was for two years, but I only updated it every now and then, so this blog is the longest I've frequently updated and I want to stick with it.

Anyway! I really love entering giveaways, and winning them (Just the one, but it was so nice!) and creating parcels full of presents for Christmas, birthdays or blog swaps! So I decided ages ago that I'd do a giveaway for my bloggiversary, which is today! (Sorry for all the exclamation marks, I'm an exciteable person!!) It's not much but its a few little things that I personally like, or would like! And its just to say thanks for reading my blog!

You can win a face mask, hair mask and conditioner from Boots, a Barry M Gold Foil Effects Nail Varnish, a bird necklace and some lovebird earrings.

I love the products from Boots, they smell lovely, haven't tried this polish before but love the brand and I picked gold to match the jewellery, I have that necklace, it looks a bit like a Hummingbird but without the long beak, and it has a really long chain which I put a knot in mine, so you can wear it at any length really, and those earrings are cute, and remind me that I need to re-pierce my ears! As I like to 'Theme' my gifts sometimes, it's a somewhat gold bird theme, with hair stuff added in! I know, not very themey, but the jewellery is to do with birds and the nail varnish matches the jewellery!

All you have to do to win is be a follower of my blog via GFC and leave a comment with your email address! Simples! The giveaway will end on the 15th of July at Midnight and I'll hopefully be able to post it within the week after it.

And thanks for reading! :)

UPDATE: It's open internationally too! :) And I'll reply to the comments after its finished so its easier to keep track of.

The Christmas Glossy Box Review (#2)

I know, it's only been a few posts ago since my last glossybox review, but I got them about a week apart since I subscribed at the end of November. They usually send them out mid month, so it will be awhile since I write the next review, promise! And I promise I'll do a Christmas post tomorrow! It involves stocking fillers! Anywho, back to glossybox. I had a few parcels that morning, some Christmas presents and two from glossybox! Yay! I couldn't wait to rip them open but decided to document it properly this time, in case anyone is really interested about the little things. Above is the box it comes in, and since I missed out on a product last time, they sent it in a small envelope. I'm not sure if they arrived at the same time, since I was over my boyfriends, but when I came home there they both were!

This months Christmas glossybox was red! Very Christmassy! Is it sad that I'm super excited to build up my collection of pretty boxes? Yes, no? I can put things in them! And to put presents in them the future.

The inside of the box, plus it comes with a card with the product information on, and an advert for the mens glossy box, I like the idea of maybe getting one for my boyfriend, but I'm not sure how into it he'd be. The information card is printed on both sides and obviously has the products you have on it, which isn't the same for everyone.

All the things! I also added what they missed out on my last glossy box which was the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer for your hair. I'm quite impressed with how they fit everything in, since I could but not prettily after I'd taken them all out, and my mum had a look and couldn't put them back in neatly lol. I was really excited with this box as I needed a few of these products, and half of them I used in the shower straight away!

And now onto the product reviews!

Cargo Cosmetics Classic Lip Gloss - I'm not entirely sure what shade it is and I'm not the biggest fan of lip glosses. I tend to just think they're messy and sticky and get everywhere. It is a nice colour, and not too messy so I'll have to try it out for a Christmas do. One thing which would have been nice if it smelled nice, this doesn't smell of anything so if I do buy lipglosses, I have to want to eat it (which I don't :P ).

Deborah Lippmann Nail Varnish - Shade Razzle dazzle. It says it a mini version which is rather cute, and still an okay size. I love the colour! It's so cute and sparkly! I haven't tried it on yet, as I've been working and can't wear nail varnish. It also came with nail varnish remover wipes, which is a neat little idea to pop in a bag, so I might try it on and quickly wipe them off before I have work, as long as I have a few days off, otherwise it's a bit of a waste.

Fab Face Cleanser - I really like the packaging, it reminds me if a vintagey type of circus if that makes sense? I've needed to get a new cleanser lately as I've been stealing bits of my brothers haha! I've only used it the once so I don't know how well it works, but it's mild so no allergic reactions or anything which is good!

Nouvea Lashes Noir Mascara - Love! I've been wearing it for the past two days and it's lovely, not too clumpy and glunky. When I first put it on however, I rubbed my eye a bit, not straight after and it smudged, it takes a bit longer than I'm used to to dry that's all.

Rituals Foaming Shower Gel - I couldn't wait to try this out! It smelt so lovely, and I accidentally used a bit too much and it was like foam city in the shower! You only need a little bit, I was expecting it to come out really foamy straight away and it didn't, so when I lathered it up, it went a bit crazy!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - I'm not really sure what this is! It says it does good stuff for your hair, adds elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine. You use it before shampooing and I guess I need to use it a bit more to see results after its dry. It felt nice, but my hairs really long so I had to use a fair bit to cover it, unless I'm doing it wrong? But my hair needs all the help it can get so I will keep using it! It was meant to come in last months box, and the customer service was really good and they sent it out really quickly so I wasn't too fussed.

All in all, I liked this box better than last month, and can't wait for next months to arrive! Eeek!

Models Own

L-R: Emerald Black, Aqua Violet, Purple Blue, Pinky Brown and Golden Green.

When I saw the Models Own Beetlejuice nail varnish collection, I just knew I had to have it! I even started to try really hard to grow my nails a bit (Sadly, I'm a nail biter, usually when I'm watching things). They're still short, long for me, but no photos just yet :P Anyway! I wanted to get them all, Models Own was sold out of Pinky Brown, but Asos wasn't. I bought two of the Beetlejuice collection and one other on the Models Own website, to save the £3 and get another pretty colour, bought my first nail art pen and got a free eyeliner since it was my first online purchase (I've only bought two of their nail varnishes before from Boots). On Asos, they were selling three of the Beetlejuice collection together for £10 (I think) so I bought them all in a roundabout way. However they didn't all arrive on the same day, the package from Asos was too big to get through my door and no one was home so I had to go pick it on, on my next day off which wasn't really a day off (currently stuck in a six day week, with one day off between weeks >.<!). This is the size of the package.

Hmm, I should have had a something next to it to show the scale, but the box can fit my laptop in it! My laptop is a giant beast of a thing! Anyway, this was a box they sent for three nail varnishes! Three! In that box was a smaller box, see below.

And in that very long box, there were these three nail varnishes.

Golden Green, Purple Blue and Pinky Brown.

Those three little things, came in a box that was too big to get through my post box, whilst the actual package from Models Own, which I had more things from, managed to fit! This is what I got.

Emerald Black, Aqua Violet and Pink Fuzz.

I don't have a picture of the packaging these came in, but it was tiny, and everything seemed to fit okay, except the nail art pen box was a bit damaged. I found the Asos packaging a bit ridiculous, but wouldn't have minded to much if I didn't have to drive around looking for the post office centre to go pick it up, I got a bit lost, and had to go to work afterwards. I can't wait to try them out properly, I have to wait for a few days off since I can't wear nail varnish in work, and think they might notice the Beetlejuice colours more than nudes which I've been secretly wearing! Looks like Pinky Brown and Aqua Violet are my favourites, and I have to send off the nail art pen to get a new one since the nib was broken and the line thing was all bent, sucks. So now I have another trip to the post office, but at least this ones more local, but! I have to wait till Tuesday, which is still within the seven days, luckily! It better all be worth it in the end :D

P.s! Hope everyone tried filming for Britain in a Day! I did, not that great, but will be uploading it tomorrow or Monday. Even if I don't get my footage used, which is highly likely, I'm still excited for the actual documentary, I guess I'm very nosey :P
