Sale goodies (and some other nice stuff too)

I kinda sorta accidentally went on a mini sales shopping spree the other day after work. You see I'm trying to save money for Hen do weekends away, car stuff and to visit my boyfriend when he moves to Portugal in September, so I've not been spending that much lately, but I couldn't resist everything above! Okay so the Aztec bag from H&M wasn't from a sale or anything, but it's gorgeous and I used a voucher so only spent £2 on it!

So the point of this post is to say there are some really good deals on! In Boots, they're still doing 3 for 2 on certain products, and Bourjois Paris are giving away a free pair of sunglasses plus the cute case if you buy three items! But technically you're only paying for two! It's awesome, I love the glasses and the bag, and need some new blusher, wanted a smokey eyes kit in black (I've been using brown a lot lately) and the middle eyeshadow is sparkly and pretty and I can wear it in the day too.

Things that also weren't on sale, was a cheapy concealer from natural collection, it does it's job and two dual nail polish packs and the blue from H&M (I couldn't decide on the colours so got both, gold and pink with the glitters, and the blue was so pretty). I love H&M make up stuff, it's inexpensive, good value and has cute packaging, what more can a girl want?

I popped into Outfits too, and headed over to the Dorothy Perkins department where I bought the bow and the sandals. I'd wanted the bow for awhile, but omg the sandals! I got them for £5! And kinda want to go back and buy them in more colours, they are so comfy! I know I can't wear them till it's warm but I'm willing to wait! I also bought a 'He loves me/He loves me not' necklace, it's really sweet and reminds me of when you're younger and do that with flower petals, or use a pendant, did anyone else do that? Or just me and my friends? I love tacky jewellery and so I also got those rings! My ring collection is slowly building up, and most of it is made up of animals! I have a panda ring, rabbit ear ring, mouse ring, then I bought this set, with a rabbit, frog, horse and fox! Can't wait to try them out, they're all different sizes though and a bit small. But they fit better than the medium/large ones so I got them and can wear some on my pinky.

So yeah, I really love everything, but now I need to be more careful about my spending habits, and no more shopping spree's for awhile! But I think it's worth a look to go into Outfit because they have a great sale on. I didn't check the clothes 'cause I want to loose some weight and get fit first, but there were so many great deals going on with the accessories. I wanted to buy so much more, and the prices are crazy cheap. Most of the jewellery I liked was between £1-4 and it wasn't just the old ugly stuff that nobody buys! So go in but beware, you will spend loads of money!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, I'm working all weekend but work was dead tonight so somehow I'm hoping no one will want to watch anything over the weekend! And you can still enter my giveaway here. I forgot to add it's open internationally, so I'll edit that now too!

The London Haul

I have very imaginative headings I know, I know (sarcasm) and I use Instagram a lot (I'd say sorry, but I LOVE it, usernames lisamello) and this will only be a short post. I'm trying to get into the habit of blogging more so there may be more shorter posts. So this is a 'What I bought in London' post. I didn't have that much money to spend, and used vouchers and bought presents for others, and only went to shops that Swansea doesn't have (like Paperchase! *sob* we used to...). Where was I? Oh yes the London Haul.

I went to Paperchase and bought a cute owl tin, since I loved my birthday wrapping paper so much and I love owls, they're so cute. I also bought some paper tape in pink, red, and turquoise with cute faces on it so my collection is growing. I always buy postcards when I'm there, and bought a thank you one since I liked the design, and a cute  elephant one that I'm going to frame and give to my friend in her baby shower (along with other presents, and also, I'm organising it! Eeek). I bought a bunny rabbit pen from there, because I've actually been doodling little bunnys in outfits for a long time, and then I went to Paperchase and they were SO similiar I was heartbroken. They were going to be a shop idea, oh well, but I bought the pen as a reference if I do want to draw bunnys to make them not look like those ones! Not pictred was a notebook as I always buy one from there too but they didn't have the one I usually get, boo.

I went to the Moomin shop too and wanted to buy everything there, but again, I'm poor so I only bought a cookie cutter since I actually bake and will use it. In Covent Garden there's a shop called Sass and Belle (I think) that I always go to which is filled with cute things. I bought the two polka dot buckets, one to keep and the blue one for the baby shower but I'm not sure what to do with it. I also went to the David and Goliath shop to add to my collection of t-shirts and spent a birthday voucher there, getting those two cute t-shirts above. I already have a Pug one (You're so Pugly) but another one won't hurt right? And the other one, well I am a 'Dork' and play videogames and I'm wearing it right now!

So just a little short post of nothing too exciting, one day I'll win the lottery and have loads of money to shop! But I should probably buy a ticket first :P

P.S In other actual exciting relating to London news, my boyfriend has got the job! In September he'll be teaching in Portugal which is very exciting! I love Portugal, I went there two years ago, and I'll either be living there or visiting lots depending on my job situation!

Christmas craft fair goodies

On Saturday, after work, my boyfriend told me there was a local craft fair going on in town, so naturally I went straight there! I'd planned on going Christmas Shopping anyway, since I had a short shift in work, I'd counted it as a "day off" (Currently on day 6 of working, and I had one day off between rotas, closing tonight, but I have two days off yaaay!). I can't remember how much I spent, but I spent loads! I had to borrow money off the boy, and repay him later of course, but I wanted everything! Instead I limited myself to mainly getting things for my mum. I'll be getting her other things too, but I've got most of the little things already :D

I bought her three candles. She loves getting scented candles for Christmas, and I went a bit overboard, but they are so pretty and vintage. Well, that's what the woman told me anyway. I love the tea cup candle, I've been wanting to make some for ages, and I love the pattern on it. The top right one I love the colour of the class and it looks quite retro to me, then again I probably don't know what I'm talking about :P The one in the middle isn't vintage of course, but it smells like strawberry's, I want to eat it!

I might keep this for myself! No, no, I can't, but it's so pretty, it smells nice, and look at the pretty tags!

I bought all these for myself, I just can't help it! I love beads, its a new hobby of mine. I wrote a post before about the bracelets I've made, and haven't really done anything since then, except buy more beads. However I am going to make little bracelets for some friends, so it can count as a Christmas present too.

I bought these sweets, from a guy I happen to know, mainly for the bucket. I've already said in the past how I buy things just for the tins or containers they are in. The bead shop I go to has these everywhere, but they're not for sale, they're shopping baskets, how sweet. There are sweets in there too, rhubarb custard sweets, which I do like, and will probably share, maybe :P (Sorry for the poor quality of the last two pictures, I couldn't seem to get a decent one of them, too shiny?)

And last but not least, a vinatge Christmas decoration. The woman said her sister picked up all the pieces in Spain, and she added some old ribbon she had onto them. My mum likes Christmas tree decorations so I hope she likes this one. I should have taken photos of all the stalls, but I was a bit too self conscious to do that, plus oohing and aahing over many of the items, but this woman had amazing decorations and candle holders. This was the first year that this Christmas craft fair had been held, and I hope they come back, so I can buy lots, or who knows, even maybe sell things! Just need to get crafting!

Recent Haul

Well I've been meaning to post things I've bought since I started this blog, but never really get round to it. So I thought I'd post a bit of what I've bought in the past week, plus some presents I've had :) It's cheered me up, but I still feel angry/sad at the thing I can't change, but I can't do anything about it so I need to try and get over it, or vent a lot to my friends. Haven't done that yet but I'm having a girly chat up with my uni friends tomorrow so yay. So onto some pictures then yes?

Had to use flash since without flash I couldn't get a non blurry photo. Feels good to use my camera again. I've been using my boyfriends iPhone lately and its okay, but I can't edit the photos when I use his laptop. I should just take my laptop down there, which is why I bought that red bag above. It's from Primark and I love it! I bought it to be like a laptop bag, but, alas, my laptop is too big! I can fit it in but not shut the clasps, but for short journeys to the car that may be okay? The little bag is a present from my Nana for no reason, so sweet of her :D The cards I got for free from work, their from Ben & Jerry's, I love free stuff! My boyfriend got me a card and some chocolates from Thorntons <3 He does stuff like that every now and then, I'm quite lucky with him. Last but not least in that picture is the tin box that looks like a retro radio. Here's a close up of it below.

It's a chocolate box which I bought solely so I could have the tin! It's so cute, I love collecting tins and boxes to keep things in, it even looks like a radio on the back and the top, I love little details like that. Its from Sainsburys if anyone's interested in getting it for like £5 or £6 I can't remember. I'm going to keep nail varnishes or makeup in there or something like that. Currently my nail varnishes are in a little bucket.

I bought clothes! Since it's getting colder I need warmer things, like this cute little moustached bunny from River Island £20 and these coloured jeans from New Look £16.99. I need a decent pair of jeans since its too cold to just wear jeggings or tights sometimes, and I've wanted coloured jeans for awhile. I'd say these are teal coloured, which isn't too crazy for my first coloured jeans foray. I've also been lusting after that beaded top from New Look for awhile too and finally bought it. Oh yeah I had a discount voucher for 20% and to top was originally about £22. I'm planning on wearing it over a black body con dress for any Christmas parties I might go to.

I am in love with this playsuit and dress from Dorothy Perkins. I've never had a playsuit, and bought this on sale for £18, it feels very 80's when I wear it so I might add sparkly tights to it when I wear it out. The dress I used the 25% VIP code that had been running all week (last day is tomorrow I think?) and it was originally  £24. I have the same dress in the dusty rose colour, and have been wanting it in emerald for ages! Both of these things I can't wait to wear out over Christmas. It'll be my luck to not go out at all now! Since my holidays (I think I had alcohol poisoning) I haven't really wanted to drink that much, and when I have gone out its been a low key affair or with people who I know will look after me, aka my boyfriend. Anyway! I've started to want to go out again, and dress up with heels and all that jazz, so there'd better be things on, but there usually are.

So those are a few things that I've had and have cheered me up. I love getting new clothes, but I really have no where to put them *sigh*. I'm in the process of cleaning my room at the moment but procrastinating by writing this entry instead! But its the third day of NaBloPoMo! So I'd better write this before the days over. I haven't actually joined the site I linked to a few posts ago, so I'm just doing this as a personal challenge. About Nanowrimo I still haven't started yet, but I traditionally start that really late anyway. Hmm maybe thats why I haven't won properly yet, ooops.
