Regal Rose Wishlist

Long time, no blog, yet again! I suck as a blogger, so sorry if anyone still reads my little old blog here. I am here now, with a lot of time off work now so I really need to do a whole load of things before my hours go back up again.

I was looking at lots of pretty jewellery tonight and thought, it's been awhile since I made a wishlist so here we are! All of these pieces are from Regal Rose and they are gorgeous and pretty and most of them are on sale! Sadly, I am trying not to buy anything new for awhile as I recently went on holiday to see my bf in Portugal, and just before I went my car broke down yet again! (That car has it in for me I swear) so I really need to stop buying things. But a wishlist doesn't hurt right? And it's my birthday in April so who knows, might ask someone to buy me all these pretties!

Oh yeah my laptop is now working again, but I have to be very careful I don't move it as the charger connector bit is the thing that's playing up, making it not charge and I don't have any money to fix it right now. On the bright side, of all the broken things I own, I managed to "fix" my iPod before going to Portugal (I hate travelling without music) and my car was fixed just before I came back, so yay! Fingers crossed nothing else breaks for me!

P.s I just noticed the type in Vintage Locket, I just did it again as I typed it! Please ignore it, and if you hadn't seen it till I pointed out, oops!

Sale goodies (and some other nice stuff too)

I kinda sorta accidentally went on a mini sales shopping spree the other day after work. You see I'm trying to save money for Hen do weekends away, car stuff and to visit my boyfriend when he moves to Portugal in September, so I've not been spending that much lately, but I couldn't resist everything above! Okay so the Aztec bag from H&M wasn't from a sale or anything, but it's gorgeous and I used a voucher so only spent £2 on it!

So the point of this post is to say there are some really good deals on! In Boots, they're still doing 3 for 2 on certain products, and Bourjois Paris are giving away a free pair of sunglasses plus the cute case if you buy three items! But technically you're only paying for two! It's awesome, I love the glasses and the bag, and need some new blusher, wanted a smokey eyes kit in black (I've been using brown a lot lately) and the middle eyeshadow is sparkly and pretty and I can wear it in the day too.

Things that also weren't on sale, was a cheapy concealer from natural collection, it does it's job and two dual nail polish packs and the blue from H&M (I couldn't decide on the colours so got both, gold and pink with the glitters, and the blue was so pretty). I love H&M make up stuff, it's inexpensive, good value and has cute packaging, what more can a girl want?

I popped into Outfits too, and headed over to the Dorothy Perkins department where I bought the bow and the sandals. I'd wanted the bow for awhile, but omg the sandals! I got them for £5! And kinda want to go back and buy them in more colours, they are so comfy! I know I can't wear them till it's warm but I'm willing to wait! I also bought a 'He loves me/He loves me not' necklace, it's really sweet and reminds me of when you're younger and do that with flower petals, or use a pendant, did anyone else do that? Or just me and my friends? I love tacky jewellery and so I also got those rings! My ring collection is slowly building up, and most of it is made up of animals! I have a panda ring, rabbit ear ring, mouse ring, then I bought this set, with a rabbit, frog, horse and fox! Can't wait to try them out, they're all different sizes though and a bit small. But they fit better than the medium/large ones so I got them and can wear some on my pinky.

So yeah, I really love everything, but now I need to be more careful about my spending habits, and no more shopping spree's for awhile! But I think it's worth a look to go into Outfit because they have a great sale on. I didn't check the clothes 'cause I want to loose some weight and get fit first, but there were so many great deals going on with the accessories. I wanted to buy so much more, and the prices are crazy cheap. Most of the jewellery I liked was between £1-4 and it wasn't just the old ugly stuff that nobody buys! So go in but beware, you will spend loads of money!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, I'm working all weekend but work was dead tonight so somehow I'm hoping no one will want to watch anything over the weekend! And you can still enter my giveaway here. I forgot to add it's open internationally, so I'll edit that now too!

I should be so lucky

Lucky, lucky, lucky! Sorry for getting that Kylie song stuck in your head, but my point is I was lucky! Not in love like the song says but with winning Lucy from Shiny Thoughts third bloggiversay giveaway! (I'm also lucky in love but that's a different matter!) I've been blogging on and off for years on different blogs and find it inspiring that people have been blogging consistently and at the same blog for years! She very kindly gave away two goodie bags, one sweets themed and the other a mixture between beauty products and jewellery which I luckily won, yay! Have you seen the Dune bag above? I'm actually in love with it and kept showing it to my mum and my boyfriend, who both thought I was mad but agreed it was nice. It now houses my make up and random little things that I usually cart between my house and my boyfriends (I swear I'll stop talking about him! lol) but I'll probably use it when I go out too.

A little sneak peak at what's inside, I was so excited to open it, even though I already knew what I'd won, but still, yay excitement! I wish I'd taken a picture of the parcel it arrived in as it had pretty tape and stickers all over it! Ah hindsight eh?

I won some leopard print style nail wraps, which I am going to attempt to try using again since my nails are getting longer (and I know where I went wrong last time I used nail wraps). There were two lip glosses, both smelling lovely, one by Jemma Kidd and the other was Just Pink by Next. Both smelt lovely and looked nice, but my favourite was the Next one which also came with a sweet floral scent which is perfect for popping in my bag and you just dab it on. I also had a perfume by Next London which smells so nice! It's mainly floral but it says it has hints of citrus and musk too which I can pick up on after awhile. I'm really happy with that as my perfumes are all nearly running out and I only get them for Christmas which is months away! I also got a cute red nail varnish from Aubin & Wills which I haven't used yet, but need some more red shades as I can't find any of my current ones.

Now onto the jewellery, squee! All of the jewellery you could mix or match since they're all shades of gold. There were three bangles, my favourite being the Egyptian one! It's so unusual and I love Egyptian things. There was also a swallow necklace, and I'm crazy about swallow related clothes/jewellery as is most of the planet right now I think! ^_^ And there were four rings, I think you're meant to stack the three smaller ones, my favourite being the one on the right and it kinda reminds me of sailory type jewellery, like a wheel of a ship? Anyone? And the flower one is pretty, but I've only just started to wear rings so feel like I need to work my way up to wearing such a statement ring!

All in all, I am chuffed with what I won! Thanks Lucy! You should go check out her blog if you haven't before, it's full of pretty photographs and outfits! I never win anything so it was really nice to finally win something, plus something so nice! And this really makes me want to do my own giveaway. I've collected a few things for my own blogs first bloggiversary which is on the 1st of July. It won't be a big giveaway as I don't have much money atm, but I was wondering if anyone would like to see a sneak peak of what I've got?   It'll be just over a week until I post anyway but I sort of want to do it now, but should wait till my bloggiversary!

The Golden Snitch

Something arrived for me in the post today. The Golden Snitch necklace I'd ordered from Wallpaper Rose had arrived! The packaging was really cute, I love brown wrapping paper and string, it's simple, yet wonderful. I couldn't wait to open it, but wanted to take a picture first, since it was so pretty.

Inside the package was the necklace, wrapped up with a ribbon and tissue paper, and also a business card and a badge! I didn't even order that, so that was a lovely surprise. I really like getting cute business cards, I have a small collection mainly from exhibitions I've been too, but I really want to do something with them all.

And last but not least, the necklace! I love Harry Potter, and want to knit a Gryffindor scarf but haven't got back round to doing it yet. Anyway, I like Harry Potter related items that I can wear and I like that the necklace is subtle and not 'in your face I love Harry Potter!'.

Wallpaper Rose is a good company to order from. They have a range of necklaces which I'm lusting after, but had to let myself only pick one, sad times, and I really, really want one of the Jen Tees which I've seen a few bloggers wear, but alas, they are out of stock. As soon as they are back in though I am going to buy one! Which colour though, I have no clue!

Making bracelets

A few friends I used to work with make their own bracelets, and they told me about this cute little shop that sold loads of beads. Eventually I went to go find it and it had moved, so I gave up trying to find it, I'm not good with finding places, when I happened to walk past it with my boyfriend the other day! Well more like two weeks ago, and I forgot where it was again, still not sure but I get my boyfriend to tell me where it is.

When I was bored the other day, I dragged him round with me to to find it again, and spent quite a while picking out beads. I only picked out enough to make one bracelet but have been back there once more to get a whole load more of beads!

I know it's not much, but that's the first one I made. I liked the colours and I love the big white ones, they are so sparkly and magical. I picked the heart since its cute, and the other silvery things are animals. They won't show up clearly on my camera, plus lighting's not great since its night, but I have a lion, an owl, a turtle and a duck, random yes, but they were the only ones they had. If I'd had gold there would have been a cat too though... it was tough making decisions :P

A jumble of bracelets!

After making it, I wanted to make more bracelets! Since it's fun and I want to get better at it, like judging the length, and how many beads I need and finishing the end bits etc. I decided to make some for my two of my  friends from America and I asked them for three of their favourite colours without telling them why. When I was in the shop, I saw these cute little teapots and decided to use them too, like a mad hatters tea pot type thing and to tie in the friendship bracelets.

This is the first one I made for my friend, it turned out softer than I thought it would be when she said black, pink and purple.

I had more trouble making this one since I used smaller beads. I'd counted out how many I thought I would need with one or two spare, but that still wasn't enough to cover a wrist nicely, it would be too tight. I'd bought two mixed bag of beads and had to sort through them finding similar colours which worked out quite well if you don't look too closely. It looks a lot nicer in person, this one is my favourite of the tea pot bracelets, when I thought the colours would never go together.

With the mixed bags of beads, I decided to make myself one! Again. I don't really have a favourite colour, they keep changing so I mixed them up without really thinking about the colours, just getting rid of all the odd colours and two of other colours etc. I like it, it reminds me of Howls Moving Castle, the film, if that makes sense.

Anyway, that's my little foray into jewellery making. I bought little bags to put their bracelets in and should be sending them off soon, I hope they like them, I had fun making the bracelets.
